We just concluded a 4-day THIRST Conference led by a team from Life Action Ministries (lifeaction.org). It was an AMAZING time of worship, teaching, conviction, brokenness, renewal, & restoration in the Church!
Ryan Loveing, our revivalist for the week, provided strong Biblical teaching in each service, & here are some of the points I gleaned:
“The goal of these days is not to seek revival, but to seek the Revivaler.”
“You do not finish well by accident.”
“Our thirst is quenched only by the superior greatness of God through His Son, Jesus.”
“Benefits & evidences of being filled w/ the Spirit:
- Assurance of salvation
- Exhibit Christ’s character
- Experience victory over sinful habits
- Empowered to witness”
“One of the evidences that there is not revival is that there is not love.”
“Loving others is not an option.”
“Loving your enemy through the avenue of forgiveness causes us to look more like Christ.”
“Unmet expectations create hurt.”
“You cannot deplete the reservoir of grace!”
“GOD, I NEED YOU!!!”
“GRACE – The dynamic quality of God within me, giving me the desire & power to live in obedience w/ God & His Word.”
“What is grace needed for:
- For salvation
- For suffering
- For strength
- For sanctification”
“Living & operating in the grace of God requires humility & obedience.”
Nearly every person I talked to said that this was the best revival experience they’d ever had. One 70 year-old man told me that he had never experienced true revival in his entire 70 years until this week. All I can say is, “Thank you, Lord!”
